Ken Crane's
Illustration World

Hi, I’m Ken Crane,

Welcome to KenCraneIllustrations.com where you can browse some of my creative graphic design and commercial art in my illustration portfolio.

I have been a professional freelance graphic designer and illustrator since 1993 and created many book cover designs, children’s book illustrations, picture books, comic book covers and comic illustrations.

My illustration portfolio also includes magazine illustrations, commercial art, cartoon illustrations, fantasy illustrations and new character illustrations.

I have also created CD cover illustrations, illustrations for rock concert posters, artwork for the theatre, worked in film making and created animations for TV shows.

I am always interested to collaborate with book and magazine publishers, up and coming and established authors, film makers and producers who like me have a strong creative talent and enthusiasm for their work.

Are you are a publisher, author, art director or film maker and like what you see in my illustration portfolio ?

If you have a project you would like to discuss, drop me a line using my online contact form.

Based in Japan, I am fluent in Japanese and English and welcome enquiries from around the world.

No project is too small.

What matters more is your enthusiasm along with mine, to create something that will make your great work even greater.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and I like to think one of my best illustrations is worth at least 10,000 words.

Here’s what Paulo Coelho the world renown author recently said about using my illustrations on his blog to compliment his own writing and stories.

Writing creates images in the reader's mind. So, when Ken proposed to illustrate some posts in my blog we started to collaborate together. From that moment on, people started not only commenting on my text, but also the illustrations.

When someone tells you "I can make an illustration of your work", normally I politely decline.

Ken proposed to illustrate some posts in my blog and after a look at his illustrations, I said to myself:

"That's the person!"

I am proud to have Ken by my side, and I am one of his most fervent admirers.
